The camera is rarely far from hand. I prefer working early morning or just before dusk to take best advantage of the angle of the sun and the shadows it creates. However that is not always the case, (especially with the unpredictable English weather); sometimes you have just one chance, and sometimes people get in the way. Yes, there is an element of good fortune on occasions, but at other times it is a case of waiting for that one moment in time.
